About Our Client - Our customer produces a weekly, local newspaper with an overall distribution to 32,000 homes. Having been established since 2000, ABM have supported them since 2014.
Client Requirements - When their old Windows 2000 server failed, our client lost a lot of data. They required help with data recovery, a new server solution and a backup option, so this could never happen again.
Our Solution - We were fortunate enough to discover that the second hard drive which had limited accessibility, contained the data our clientele required. We used our specialist recovery tools to extract the data, and then placed it onto a Netgear Storage solution, replacing the failed server. As part of the new install we ensured all laptops, desktops and Mac's connected to the data store. Created relevant shares and ensured high security settings. While on site we tidied up their rack, installed a new switch, UPS and AV for all workstations. Another aspect of the job was to source equipment to run their online booking system. After a short amount of time they were operational again.
The Outcome - The organisation have a fantastic storage solution, new equipment running their booking system and an over haul to their network infrastructure. Their backup reports to us daily and we continue to monitor and support them with their growth.
